Disney Believe: A New Chapter for Disney Cruise Line in 2027
Updated: 3 days ago

A new Disney Cruise Line ship is on the horizon. And if you’re a fan of the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, or Disney Destiny, there’s plenty to be excited about!
The Disney Believe will make her maiden voyage on December 18, 2027, sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. Designed around the idea of promise and possibility, the newest addition to the fleet will combine brand-new experiences with some of the favorite spaces Disney cruisers have already come to love aboard the Wish-class ships.
A Convenient New Homeport
For families looking for a Disney cruise without a longer itinerary, the Disney Believe will offer four- and five-night sailings from Port Everglades, visiting destinations in the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Select itineraries will include Disney Cruise Line favorites Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, making these sailings a great option for families who want a shorter Disney cruise experience without giving up the Disney magic.

New Places to Grab a Coffee, a Treat & Maybe a Little “Me Time”
One thing we love about the Wish-class ships is that there are so many spaces to simply wander into—and the Believe is continuing that tradition.
Two brand-new coffee spots are coming aboard:
Big Hero Sips will bring the energy of San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6 to a cozy coffee shop serving coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
Café Kakamora will take its inspiration from the mischievous coconut creatures of Moana, with another spot to grab a coffee, tea, or specialty drink while exploring the ship.
And for those of us who believe dessert is an important part of vacation planning, Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is returning, but with a Believe twist. Inspired by Inside Out 2, the sweet shop will feature nearly 20 flavors of gelato and ice cream, daily handcrafted gelato specials, and plenty of signature treats.
Lounges & Bars: Plenty of Places to Unwind
One of the things we love about the newer Disney Cruise Line ships is that the experience doesn't stop when the sun goes down. The Disney Believe will offer a mix of returning favorites and brand-new spaces designed specifically for adults to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy a little downtime.
Fans of the Wish-class ships will recognize Haunted Mansion Parlor, bringing the beloved attraction to sea with its eerie (but elegant!) atmosphere and signature cocktails.
New to the Believe is Sea Notes, a sophisticated piano lounge inspired by The Little Mermaid. Think live music, cocktails, and a beautiful setting that feels a little more grown-up.
Skygazers will offer another adult-focused retreat, with an observatory-inspired design, craft cocktails, beer, and light bites. It's the kind of space that sounds perfect for settling in after dinner or enjoying a drink while taking in the views.
And then there's Wishing Well, inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. With a castle-inspired bar, courtyard seating, and a performance space, it's designed to be more than just a place to grab a drink—it's an experience in itself.
Whether you're looking for a quiet cocktail, live entertainment, or somewhere to meet up before dinner, the Believe will give adults plenty of options to explore.

Rotational Dining: A Disney Cruise Line Favorite
If you've sailed with Disney Cruise Line before, you already know one of the things that makes the dining experience so special: rotational dining.
Rather than eating at the same restaurant every night, guests rotate through different themed dining venues throughout their sailing—while their serving team rotates with them. That means your dining team gets to know your family, your preferences, and even those little details that can make a vacation feel extra special.
The Disney Believe will continue this signature Disney Cruise Line tradition with a combination of familiar favorites and a brand-new dining experience.
Returning Wish-class favorites include 1923 and Worlds of Marvel, giving guests the opportunity to experience two of the dining concepts that have become synonymous with the newest generation of Disney ships.
But the Believe is also introducing Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast, an immersive dining experience inspired by Frozen. Guests will join Oaken and his family for a festive meal featuring music, storytelling, and appearances by beloved characters including Anna and Kristoff.
And, of course, one of the best parts of rotational dining is that you don't have to choose between the experiences—you get to experience them all as part of your cruise.
That's one of the things that makes Disney Cruise Line dining so different. Dinner isn't simply dinner. It's another part of the entertainment, storytelling, and magic built into your vacation. Broadway-Style

Entertainment (Including a Disney First!)
The Disney Believe will debut something we've never seen before on a Disney Cruise Line ship: the first-ever stage adaptation of Encanto.
The production will bring Mirabel's story to the Walt Disney Theatre, complete with vibrant costumes, Colombian-inspired design, and music from the film—including, yes, We Don't Talk About Bruno.
Also joining the lineup is Tangled: The Musical, originally seen aboard the Disney Magic, but reimagined for the Believe with a new set design and special effects.
And rounding out the theatrical lineup is Disney Seas the Adventure, the Wish-class favorite featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters and iconic songs.
So whether you're sailing specifically for the new Encanto production or you're excited to see a favorite Disney show again, the Believe promises plenty of reasons to make time for the theatre.
Even the Staterooms Tell a Story
Disney has always been good at making a cruise stateroom feel like more than just a place to sleep, and the Believe is no exception.
The standard staterooms will feature new papercut-style artwork inspired by Disney stories including Moana, Coco, and The Lion King, while maintaining the family-friendly features Disney cruisers love—including generous storage, split bathrooms in most rooms, and elevated beds with under-bed storage.
And then things get really fun.
Concierge accommodations will include Peter Pan-inspired rooms, while select oceanview concierge rooms will feature Toy Story theming.
For those looking for the ultimate Disney splurge, the Believe will introduce two Royal Suites inspired by The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.
And exclusive to this ship? The incredible Believe Tower Suite. This two-story, nearly 2,000-square-foot suite will sleep up to eight guests and draw inspiration from the themed lands of Magic Kingdom Park. Talk about a room with a view—and a little pixie dust!

So…Do We Believe?
We do.
What makes the Disney Believe especially interesting to us is that it isn't trying to completely reinvent the Disney Cruise Line experience. Instead, it takes what families already love about the Wish-class ships: the beautiful design, immersive storytelling, Broadway-style entertainment, incredible dining, and family-focused staterooms, and adds a whole new collection of Disney stories and experiences!
It's familiar enough to feel like Disney Cruise Line, but new enough to give even seasoned Disney cruisers something to look forward to.
The Disney Believe begins sailing December 18, 2027, with four- and five-night itineraries from Port Everglades.
