So Many Reasons to Start Dreaming About Your Next Disney Vacation

First up, Disney Cruise Line is coming back to New York City! This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a Disney cruise aboard the Disney Wish, without having to worry about flights for many of our East Coast families. The Disney Destiny will also make its first appearance in Port Canaveral with anywhere from 3- to 7-night sailings. Some itineraries will even include two stops at Disney's Castaway Cay.

On the West Coast, the Magic and the Wonder will sail from San Diego to Baja and the Mexican Riviera, offering the perfect Land & Sea opportunity to blend a Disney Cruise with a Disneyland vacation.

And as we continue to dream about our next Disney cruise, there are more ships on the horizon: The Disney Believe is scheduled to set sail in 2027 and will be the fourth ship in the Wish class, featuring Buzz and Woody at the stern. And coming in 2029, a brand-new class of Disney Cruise Line ships! Three new ships will join the fleet in an entirely new class, positioned between Disney’s classic and newest ships in size. Disney says the new class will open the door to new destinations and experiences around the world.

And then there’s Walt Disney World, where the future is looking very, very busy.

Magic Kingdom is preparing for some of its biggest additions yet, including Villains Land, a new land filled with Disney’s most infamous characters, and Piston Peak, bringing the world of Cars to Frontierland. Even classic attractions are getting attention, with the Carousel of Progress receiving updated voices and a refreshed 1980s scene.

Over at EPCOT, longtime fans have even more reason to be excited as Dreamfinder and Figment return for a new journey into imagination, while Spaceship Earth prepares for a reimagining centered around the theme of human connection.

The excitement continues at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Monstropolis is coming to Hollywood Studios, bringing guests into the world of Monsters, Inc. with a new land, attractions and entertainment. At Animal Kingdom, the new Tropical Americas area will bring Indiana Jones and Encanto to life with brand-new experiences, while longtime fans can look forward to the return of the Yeti on Expedition Everest. And with Disney Animation-inspired experiences also transforming Hollywood Studios, there’s a lot to look forward to whether this is your first Walt Disney World vacation or your tenth.

And if Disneyland hasn’t been on your Disney vacation radar lately, 2027 might be the year to change that. 

The exciting news is that Disneyland Resort vacation packages for 2027 are now open for booking, which means we can officially start turning those future Disneyland dreams into actual vacation plans. And there’s plenty happening to make 2027 an especially exciting time to visit. Disneyland Park will welcome back a refreshed version of “Remember… Dreams Come True” in February 2027, while Disney California Adventure will bring back an updated version of the original World of Color. Magic Happens will also return to Disneyland in summer 2027.

Looking a little farther ahead, there’s even more on the horizon. Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park is being reimagined, while Disney California Adventure will continue to grow with the expansion of Avengers Campus, including Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab, both expected in 2028. And Pixar fans have a major reason to keep Disneyland on their future vacation list, with the resort developing its first-ever attraction inspired by Coco.

For Walt Disney World regulars, Disneyland can be a fantastic way to experience Disney from a different perspective. And with 2027 now open for booking, it’s a great time to start looking at whether a Disneyland vacation might be the right next adventure for your family.
